"Mother Nature and these hands. That's it. It's how farming should be done."
- Chong Chang, Founding Farmer at River Hills Farm
Chong Chang grew up on a farm just outside of Seoul, South Korea in the 1960's. He treasures those moments helping his mother out on the farm. After more than 30 years as a small business owner, he came back to his roots as a farmer. Everything on the farm is done by hand. From trimming, wrapping each pear by hand (to prevent bugs from eating the fruit), to hand-picking, and finally to boxing.
During harvest season we do offer friends and families to come out and pick. Occasionally, Mother Nature throws a curve ball, and our harvest dates can vary, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or give us a call at (847) 612-2450.
